About This Library

This library offers deep, verse-by-verse studies of the Advaita Vedānta canon — from the great prakaraṇa texts (introductory treatises) to the Upaniṣads and the Bhagavad Gītā. Each study follows the traditional approach of Śravaṇa (hearing the teaching), Manana (deep reflection to resolve all doubts), and Nididhyāsana (sustained contemplation until the teaching becomes direct recognition).

Every verse receives complete treatment: the full Sanskrit text in Devanāgarī script and IAST transliteration, word-by-word grammatical and philosophical analysis of every term, commentary drawn from five primary traditional sources, visual diagrams for key concepts, a deep philosophical insight section, and a meditative application for direct practice.

The studies draw on the following commentators and traditions:

Swami Nikhilananda

Ramakrishna Math. Sanskrit editions with translation and commentary.

Swami Sarvapriyananda

Hollywood Vedanta Temple. Renowned for clarity and contemporary relevance.

Swami Paramarthananda

All studies are offered freely in the spirit of the tradition — vidyādānam paramaṃ dānam — the gift of knowledge is the highest gift.
